On the morning of April 28th, the School of Management and Economics held a workshop on disciplinary construction of the School. Senior professors and heads of each department attended the meeting. The workshop was hosted by Dean Wei Yiming.
As the meeting started , vice dean Yan Zhijun in charge of disciplinary construction of the School made a summary of the recent work and reviewed the "Doctoral and Master's degree authorization examination approaches" adopted by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council. Subsequently, Dean Wei Yiming specifically explained the "Examination Approaches" and the actual situation of discipline construction of the School. Professors and faculty members all actively proposed ideas and suggestions.
At the end of the meeting, secretary Wang Zhaoxia summed up the views that disciplinary construction is of the most importance in the development of the School. The discipline orientation should stress both traditional direction and frontier direction. We shall make development plans according to the actual development of disciplines, and strive to achieve balanced and sustainable development of each subject.
