On May 6, 2017, at 3 PM, a seminar:“BaiChuan Takes You Travel and Enjoy Beijing Culture” was held at room 405 in Liangxiang comprehensive teaching building. Teacher Gu Baichuan from the School of Management and Economics Department of International Economics and Finance took the students travel and enjoy Beijing culture from two aspects of poetry and touring.
In the first place, teacher Gu pointed that, from the shape of character "poem", poem is a combination of lyric and aesthetic, and introduced "BaiChuan Collection of Poems & Photographs". The collection includes the original poems and photographs of Gu Baichuan, including ancient Chinese poems and modern poems. Its contents range from the most famous Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace to the Ming tombs. His poetry has both Beijing's scenery and Beijing's distinctive Noodles with fried bean paste and Peking duck. His themes are not limited to certain objects, but his own inner inspirations.
