September 24, 2016, the state key research and development program global change and response specific project "Comprehensive assessment of economic impact of climate change – a model study" held its launching ceromony in Beijing. Over 100 people including leaders from the Ministry of Science and Technology High Technology Research and Development Center, Beijing Institute of Technology Science and Technology Research Institute, the project expert advisory panel members and project participants attended the ceremony. The project is led by Beijing Institute of Technology and jointly handled by the United National Information Center, National Climate Center, Shanghai Institute of Advanced Studies of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University and Peking University.
