          Speaker Profile:

          Yuan Xixi, a member of the Communist Party of China. Doctor of Management, University of Science and Technology of China, currently associate professor/special associate researcherin the Department of Management Science and Engineering of the School of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology. Research interests include operational optimization, efficiency and productivity, energy and environmental policy.

          Introduction:

          In recent years, with the increasingly serious environmental problems, the concept of sustainable development is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. In the field of supply chain management, a growing number of operational management issues, such as supplier selection, upstream and downstream cooperation in the supply chain, incorporate the concept of sustainability. However, due to the imperfect system and the lack of information, balancing the economic performance, environmental pollution and social responsibility (three dimensions of sustainability) of the supply chain from all levels has become an urgent and challenging problem. Based on the published research on operational optimization and sustainable development, the author introduces the concept and research status of sustainable supply chain, and discusses and communicates some problems existing in sustainable supply chain management.
