Valerian O. Pede，國際水稻研究所科學家，菲律賓大學兼職教授（Adjunct Professor）。美國Purdue University博士。研究方向包括空間經(jīng)濟學、發(fā)展經(jīng)濟學、農(nóng)業(yè)經(jīng)濟學，主要從事有關(guān)空間與社會行為的分析。 Pede博士主持完成蓋茨基金等多項國際基金項目，在亞洲、非洲、美洲等多國從事科研工作。在計量經(jīng)濟學、發(fā)展經(jīng)濟學、農(nóng)業(yè)經(jīng)濟學領(lǐng)域發(fā)表論文二十余篇。并多次受邀為國際期刊和國際會議評審論文。
內(nèi)容簡介：
Spatial Econometrics is a sub-field of Econometrics that allows modeling spatial dependence or spatial autocorrelation in regression models. It focuses on modeling relationships, explicitly accounting for spatial effects. The field is regarded as one of the most rapidly growing areas in Econometrics today, with applications in various domains. This presentation will briefly introduce the theory of spatial econometrics and provide application in two studies: (1) Spatial Dynamics of Economic Growth: The Case of US Counties; (2) Social Relationship and Behavioral Spillover: The Case of Irrigated and Rainfed Rice Farmers in Bohol, the Philippines.
