          主講人簡介:
              Burton Abrams is professor of economics at the University of Delaware and Research Fellow at The Independent Institute. He received his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University. He is a three-time Fulbright Professor, the first award sending him for a year of teaching at Nankai University in the 1985-1986 academic year. He has published extensively in journals including the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Economic Perspectives, the National Tax Journal and Public Choice. His book, The Terrible Ten: A Century of Economic Folly has just been published. The Terrible Ten discusses the causes and effects of the worst U.S. economic policies over the past ten decades.
          內(nèi)容簡介:
              The Federal Reserve, the U.S. Central Bank, has taken extraordinary action in the past 5 years. Using the Brunner-Meltzer money-supply model, the Fed’s actions and their effects are explained. The Fed’s actions have created a situation that holds the potential for serious inflationary damage. How the Fed might avoid inflationary problems and the likely costs of doing this are discussed.
