Jon Price is the Director of the Centre for Low Carbon Futures based at York University and Board Member of Climate Strategies hosted at Cambridge University in the UK.  Jon attended the OECD roundtable meetings on sustainable development during 2009 with government ministers from EU, China, South Africa and Japan.  Additionally, Jon leads a global research project on sectoral approaches for industry. During 2009 Jon was selected by the expert panel for the OECD roundtable on sustainable development in both Paris and Singapore, and has worked closely with governments of UK, France, Norway, Germany (GTZ), Japan (MOE) and Australia on emissions trading and climate policy.  His work with EU governments includes a number of research and policy briefs on CDM, Global Carbon Markets Emissions Trading, Role of Auctions and Tackling Leakage and contributed to a number of UK government climate change reports in 2008/9. Jon has made a number of presentations in Asia, including UK Government missions to Tokyo, Canberra, Singapore and Honk Kong in respect of low carbon innovations, emissions trading and CDM and attends the UNFCCC Conference of Parties Annual Meetings, participating in various side events.  During 2010 Jon has visited Beijing twice already and made a number of invited talks, including the NDRC regarding international co-operation, technology co-operation and finance flows. 內(nèi)容簡介:
“Tackling carbon - leakage, levelling and standards" will cover the global carbon flows and consumption, and discuss the various approaches to reducing carbon intensity.  Jon will argue that manufacturing remains the biggest global emitting end-use sector and that efficient mitigation requires response to cumulative carbon at each step of the supply chain.
