主講人簡介：
Dr. Hector Ponce is an associate professor at the University of Santiago of Chile, Faculty of Business and Economics. He is also the scientific director of VirtuaLab, a research laboratory at the University of Santiago dedicated to research and develop visual and interactive software components. Dr. Ponce obtained a BSc in Computer Science at University of Santiago of Chile and PhD in Management Systems at the University of Lincoln, England. The projects developed by Dr. Ponce and his team have been funded by grants from the Chilean Foundation for Science and Technology.
內(nèi)容簡介：
The objectives of the presentation will be two: (1) to give an overview of the use of information and communication technologies in Chile, and (2) to present finding of an experimental evaluation of a multiple-strategy software developed to improve thinking skills. The first part will offer a general overview of Chile’s digital advancement, in particular its performance in relation to other nations, penetration and growth of different digital technologies and e-government progress. The second part will give details of a software developed by the author and his team and a project where it was experimentally evaluated.
