In the past five years, the school has received research funding of more that 40 million RMB. Specifically, SME has completed over 200 research projects, including:
- National Natural Science Foundation of China: 3 Key Projects
- National Natural Science Foundation of China: 31 Generic Projects
- National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science: 3 Projects
- Ministry of Science and Technology: 3 Projects
- Other Ministries: 47 Projects
Among them, 28 projects are winners of Teaching and Research Excellence Award at either national or ministerial level.
Remarkably, 1905 papers have been published by our faculty and students. Among them, 40 papers have been cited by SSCI and SCI, and 148 papers cited by EI.
SME has developed science and technology management program for national defense under “Project 985”, with the support from the central government. The school has developed some new research fields and yielded many important achievements.
By student exchange and joint researches, the school has built international relationships with more than 20 universities worldwide and has held many international conferences.
